These boutique-type stores are all over 5th and 7th avenue. They've installed themselves in Carroll Gardens as well. They are quite lovely and all pretty much owned by local people.

I cannot afford not one damn thing in any of these stores, nor can any of my friends. I found one gorgeous gray-wool coat that would set me back about $450. I don't know who spends $450 on a coat, but I'm sure someone in the 'Slope does because these stores are everywhere.

They're sure darned perty though.
